April Retreat with The Scrapbooking Factory in the Texas Hill Country

I am so thrilled to announce the location of The Scrapbooking Factory Retreat that will be held in April. Still not 100% sure on the date but should have that mid week. It was fate we happened upon this beautiful place, in more than one way. My wonderful, supportive husband and I were on our way back from a lovely weekend we spent in Marble Falls for our 9th Anniversary. As we we were traveling through Comfort and passed The Haven River Inn, I asked Ed to make a uturn to take a look at this beautiful old house. He agrees and as we proceed to meet Cheryl Cormack the inn keeper at the front desk and peek around the 14 bedroom house, I was in awe with how spectacular this retreat house is. The second connection to the inn keepers were that they are actually longtime friends of the family and are super sweet people and I look forward to hosting my Scrapbooking retreat at this grand Estate. The cost of the Retreat is $185 and will be Thursday-Sunday and will include Dinner on Thursday and meals all day Friday, Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday. Also lots of giveaways, prizes and maybe even a guest teacher! Still working on the details but I will begin to reserve spaces as soon as I have the dates hopefully by Wed of this week. I have been open for business for a little over 1 week, and things are going great! I will being to teach classes at Craftiques in December. My first class will be a mini Christmas book, using Bazzill cardstock papers and Prima flowers. The cost of the class is $15 and will take place Sunday December 13th from 1pm-2:30pm you will walk away with a completed mini album! If you would like to sign up for the class please visit my booth at Craftiques Mall asap, class space is limited. This class is ideal for both the seasoned and beginner scrapbooker. This album would make a great Christmas gift! Heres a preview:

Were Open!

Yes my little spot is now open and ready for all you shoppers! If you are local and plan to attend my crop this weekend be sure to make it by Craftiques and do some shopping in my booth. If you bring me a receipt with a purchase of $15 or more you will be entered into a drawing for an awesome scrapbook kit with over 1700 pieces! Pictures will be posted tomorrow!

Where can you find more from The Scrapbooking Factory?

I'm pleased to announce you can now shop in person at my little leased space! It kinda just fell into place with how it all worked out.........over a year ago I was looking into a space at Craftiques and at the time it just wasn't the right time. Well the other day I happened to make a very spur of the moment choice to go back by their shop on Bandera Rd, well to my surprise they had just purchased a large retail spot in a prime location. Well within a week I have now signed my lease and I am covered in paint from my head to my toes getting my spot ready for the opening date of Nov 1! I'm excited for this move.....and well to be honest I really needed a spot just for storage! My house is over flowing with product!

The store is set to open Nov 1st they are waiting to get the last of the paper work in order and hopefully tonight I will be stocking my spot! As soon as every things up and running I will be sure to share all the details with you! Be sure to check back from some before and after photos!

Welcome Tammy ~ Newest Design Team member

I would like to give a warm welcome to Tammy! She is my newest Design Team member. Tammy is a super sweet lady that Ive known now for awhile now and I am thrilled to have her as one of my DT members! Tammy does amazing work! You can look forward to some great classes designed by Tammy in the near future. Her first DT package went out today. Cant wait to see what goodies she creates with it.

Pinecone Press Monthly Options Kit **Cosmo Cricket**

This adorable little pocket book was created using the Pinecone Press Options monthly kit. I added tea bags into the pockets, what a great gift idea for all those hard working teachers out there and it only took me a few minutes to put this together! With the left overs I made these 8 cards, there were even a bunch of left over chipboard and some paper so I could of made even more!

Announcing Classes at The Scrapbooking Factory......October Boo Book

I'm excited to announce classes will now be taught at The Scrapbooking Factory during our monthly crops, here in San Antonio, Texas. This month our crop will be held October 23rd-25th. Cheryl one of my teachers will be teaching this awesome Boo Book class. This class features a BoBunny acrylic album and a huge pack of papers and embellishments from My Minds Eye Boo to You line. If you can't make it for the class or the crop but would like a class kit you can purchase it here This kit comes with full directions and color photos so you can complete it on your own.
